FAQ
1. Any pain or discomfort ?
The most common side effect is temporary sensitivity, but it’s not happening all the time though. In case it happens, we can split the cycle to the other day, or sometimes our dentist can recommend to take OTC pain reliever.
2. Any restrictions on food before or after whitening?
After undergoing in-office teeth bleaching, it is recommended to avoid consuming foods and beverages that can potentially stain the teeth for at least 48 hours. This is because the teeth may be more susceptible to staining during this time due to the porosity of the enamel. Foods and drinks to avoid include: Coffee and tea Red wine Colored sodas Dark-colored fruits and berries, such as blueberries, blackberries, and cherries Tomato-based sauces Soy sauce Balsamic vinegar Dark chocolate Additionally, it is recommended to avoid smoking or using tobacco products after teeth bleaching, as this can also contribute to staining. It is important to note that everyone's teeth are different, and some people may experience more sensitivity than others after teeth bleaching. If you experience discomfort or sensitivity, it may be best to avoid very hot or cold foods and drinks for a few days.
